Garages of America breaks ground on new Firewheel garage community

Garages of America Breaks Ground in Garland to Meet the Rising Demand for Luxury Garages
Garages of America, the pioneers of the luxury garage concept, broke ground on Garages of America Firewheel, a new development of 71 customizable luxury garages and 10 flex office warehouse units at 4705 N. President George Bush Highway near E. Brand Road in Garland.
“We’re building more than garages—we’re fostering an active lifestyle for car enthusiasts,” said Jack Griffin, co-founder of Garages of America. “Our owners appreciate being surrounded by a community of owners with shared interests. Firewheel is a central location off George Bush with easy access to Dallas, Collin and Rockwall Counties.”
Garages of America recently expanded in Frisco with a second phase of its highly sought-after garages. The Frisco location originally opened in 2020 with 106 units that quickly sold out, leading to the development of Frisco Phase II, which just added another 52 garages.
A second phase of Garages of America Carrollton is currently under construction and is expected to open in the fourth quarter of 2025. The original Carrollton location opened in 2020 with 69 garages and five commercial flex space units. These garages quickly sold out, leading to the development of Carrollton Phase II, which will add 67 new customizable garages, six flex office warehouse units, and a new PS1 Club.
Garages of America has been the leader in this rapidly expanding sector of car collectors and small business owners seeking premium, climate-controlled venues in a secure and community-driven environment. In addition to cars, owners utilize their space for general storage as well as to house motorcycles, boats, RVs or as an office for their small business.
Much like private marinas for boat owners or hangars for aviation enthusiasts, luxury garages have transformed how car collectors, entrepreneurs, and hobbyists protect and enjoy their assets. Rather than leasing space, owners at Garages of America purchase their units outright, receiving a deed and Property Owner Association protections, making it an investment rather than an expense.
“Our owners enjoy more than just a place to park their beloved cars and showcase their collections—they enjoy being part of a community while owning a financial asset that has increased in value,” said Fred Gans of Garages of America. “Our rapid expansion underscores the demand for secure, high-end spaces where like-minded individuals can comfortably gather, network, and share their passions.”
Garages of America provides a secure, gated environment with climate-controlled spaces, and an exclusive owners’ clubhouse for social and business gatherings. Each suite is fully customizable, featuring elevated ceilings, built-in mezzanines, oversized doors, and individually metered utilities—amenities that make these venues adaptable for both personal and professional use.
As the demand for secure luxury space increases, early adopters in this market have seen their properties appreciate in value, with resale interest growing in multiple locations.
